News: The Awakening drops ’Your Vampire’ video and announces UK tour

Gothic / Darkwave Act The Awakening shares “Your Vampire” video + announces UK Tour.

South African Gothic/Darkwave act The Awakening has just shared their new video for “Your Vampire”. The video is the fourth from their eponymous 12th album and follows “Mirror Midnight”, “Haunting” and “Through The Veil” which have amassed millions of views.

“‘Your Vampire’ is a love song. It is a song about passion, devotion and commitment, despite the challenges we face or the limitations of life itself. It is also my wife’s favourite song from the album, so I thought a video was in order,” says frontman Ashton Nyte.

The Awakening is about to embark on their Dark Carnival Tour 2026, which kicks off with 9 UK dates in March/April. The new tour incorporates more acoustic, electronic and experimental elements than last year’s Haunting Tour, showcasing the band’s artistic diversity and why frontman Ashton Nyte has been called “Johannesburg’s Bowie” by the media.
