They\u2019re a band on a mission: channeling the raw, inevitable suffering of life into brutal music, while casting a light into the darkest corners of the human experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Their inspiration? The ultimate act of self-sacrifice. After His bloody death, Jesus descended into Hell itself. That\u2019s where Voluntary Mortification takes their message of hope\u2014right into the hells of suffering, confusion, and fear that so many in the metal scene wrestle with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re here to be a light in the darkness for the broken and hurting,\u201d the band shares. \u201cEach of us knows we\u2019re broken, too, but through our own pain, we\u2019ve found faith\u2014and we want to share that with our brothers and sisters in metal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But don\u2019t mistake their message for soft edges.
