RELENT RETURNS AFTER LONG HIATUS WITH POWERFUL NEW SINGLE AND
UPCOMING EP \u201cSUFFER\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After years of silence, Christian rock powerhouse\u00a0Relent\u00a0is back and they\u2019re coming in strong
with a brand-new single \u201cHoly Forever\u201d set to release\u00a0August 15. This marks the band\u2019s first
release in 2 years, and it kicks off a bold new chapter in their career, one rooted in the same
mission they\u2019ve always carried, but with fresh vision, and renewed fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The break wasn\u2019t something front man\u00a0Miggy Sanchez\u00a0had originally planned, though in
hindsight, he says it was exactly what God had in mind. Before stepping away, Relent had been
going hard for nearly eight years, touring relentlessly and recording nonstop. When Miggy
joined Ill Ni\u00f1o and began touring heavily with them, Relent naturally took a back seat. At the
same time, life brought both expected and unexpected turns, creating a pause that was as
necessary as it was unplanned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSome of it was planned, some of it wasn\u2019t,\u201d Miggy shares. \u201cBut my time away gave me space
to rest, recover, and realign. It\u2019s easy to let priorities slip when you\u2019re constantly busy, so while
the break happened unexpectedly, it was much needed. I came back with a clearer vision, and my
heart for people hasn\u2019t changed. Getting back into the saddle of Relent is easy for me when the
motive is still the same.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During this time, God was working deeply in his life. Miggy describes those years as a period of
chastising, discipline, and personal growth. \u201cThere was a lot of revamping and realigning,\u201d he
says. \u201cI was able to grow as a musician, a leader, and a follower. I\u2019m grateful for everyone who
has been part of this band over the years and happy they\u2019ve found their place in life. For me, God
used that time to prepare me for what\u2019s ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That preparation led directly to the new single, a song born out of seasons of suffering. It\u2019s a
brutally honest exploration of the tension between faith and pain, and how both can exist in the
same space.\u201cI began to find comfort and understanding in the fact that having faith and still
dealing with suffering is a reality,\u201d Miggy explains. \u201cSometimes the two can\u2019t be separated, and
that\u2019s okay. As a believer, suffering is foundational for my growth, whether it\u2019s spiritual,
physical, mental, or emotional. At the end of the day, it\u2019s chiseling at my character, and through
perseverance, I become stronger.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The song\u2019s message is simple but powerful:\u00a0It\u2019s okay to not be okay. \u201cThat\u2019s life,\u201d Miggy says,
\u201cbut never let that perspective diminish or distort the life-changing power of God.\u201dA key
inspiration came from\u00a0Psalm 94:18-19 (NKJV):\u00a0\u2018If I say, \u201cMy foot slips,\u201d Your mercy, O Lord,
will hold me up. In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.\u2019
The track also features the lyric,\u00a0\u201cHoly forever, hold me together\u201d\u00a0\u2014 a heartfelt cry to God as
the most consistent presence in the chaos of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While Relent\u2019s mission remains the same \u2014 to create music that helps people and points them to
hope in Christ. Miggy says he\u2019s grown in more ways than just spiritually. \u201cThe biggest growth
has been learning the business side of the industry,\u201d he shares. \u201cWhen we started, we were just
eager to make music and help people. We didn\u2019t understand how cutthroat and harsh the industry
could be. Now, after being in both the mainstream and Christian worlds, I\u2019ve had the chance to
sit under people who have taught me so much, and I\u2019m grateful for those lessons. I plan to apply
everything I\u2019ve learned moving forward.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Relent\u2019s return also marks their first release as independent artists in years. \u201cWe\u2019re grateful for
our time with a label and the experience we gained,\u201d Miggy says. \u201cBut now we\u2019re excited to take
on the challenge of doing this on our own. It\u2019s going to be different, and it\u2019s going to be fun. We
hope our fans will continue to support the vision and mission of this band as we keep traveling
and making an impact.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fans won\u2019t have to wait long for more. The new\u00a0EP, \u201cSuffer,\u201d\u00a0is set to release this fall, and
Relent already has several festival dates and pop-up shows lined up across multiple states \u2014
including their hometown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt definitely looks different. It feels different. And it sounds different,\u201d Miggy says. \u201cBut the
mission hasn\u2019t changed. We\u2019re here to make music that helps people, provides hope, and
