In early 2024 I stumbled upon a song on Instagram that I couldn\u2019t ignore. I shared it in my stories and then received a kind \u201cthank you for sharing\u201d response. I replied back, \u201cYou\u2019re welcome. I like to support growing artists.\u201d Little did I know that Heal the Hurt<\/strong> would begin to jet propel through the Christian metal music scene over this last year and a half. They are now becoming a sought-after band to perform at concerts and festivals. Rightfully so. Their songs are raw, real, and written to heal the hurt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHeal The Hurt isn\u2019t just a band name \u2014 it\u2019s a declaration that music can still be used to heal. For frontman Trevor Tyson, that mission is deeply personal. After years of struggling with depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation \u2014 including hospitalization for severe burnout \u2014 he came to understand just how powerful music can be when words alone fall short.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I got to sit down and chat with Trevor Tyson, the lead vocalist, at the Undead Revival<\/a>, which has the same heart towards mental health awareness and was held in Ohio in October. I always enjoy getting to talk with Trevor. He is a deep thinker, much like myself, and I believe he is always going deep within himself to take in the world around him.
