Magdalene Rose<\/strong> is her name, and making an impact in the music scene is her game. She was once in a band with her sisters, but when they decided to take a break, Magdalene Rose wasn\u2019t exactly sure what her future in music would look like. But as God does, He had big plans for her and her vision for a new band. She says, \u201cI love metal and rock music, and I\u2019ve always wanted to be in that type of band. I grew up in a Christian home listening to bands like Skillet, We As Human, and Flyleaf, and I wanted to be just like them if I ever got the chance. Once I was old enough to actually understand and develop my own relationship with God, it felt selfish not to use my love for rock music to share what God has done in my life. I always felt like an outcast in the regular church setting because of the way I dressed and the music I liked, so if my band can help someone feel welcomed and loved by God, why wouldn\u2019t I want to be part of that!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Being married to Seventh Day Slumber<\/strong> drummer Blaise Rojas helped her feel confident moving forward in a new direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Blaise continues to drum for both Magdalene Rose and Seventh Day Slumber, and they often tour together. This creates a powerful family dynamic that allows mentoring for Magdalene Rose and the band members. Having the history in the music scene that Seventh Day Slumber has, Magdalene Rose is able to get in front of larger audiences and learn from seasoned musicians. So when she is ready to take the band on solo journeys, there is wisdom already traveling with her. I personally think this experience gives the band a unique journey in the music scene. This song walks along, holds your hand, and leads you to the light, where there is always hope, even if you have to fight for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Heart That Bloomed After Death<\/em>, a three-year-long dedication, is their debut album that launched in 2025. The 10-song playlist is packed with songs that touch on the hard subjects of life like depression, self-harm, body image, and childhood trauma. All of the songs, especially the title track, \u201cThe Heart That Bloomed After Death,\u201d bring us back to a loving Father who can redeem all things. The goal is to encourage fellow image-bearers that they are not alone and there is always hope in Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Magdalene Rose shares, \u201cOur band exists for the sole purpose of helping people feel less alone. We\u2019re not shy about sharing our faith in Jesus, but we also don\u2019t turn anyone away from our fanbase. There are so many hurting people that feel as if they have no voice, or maybe they\u2019ve been conditioned to feel embarrassed about their mental struggles, which keeps them from sharing and getting the help they need.
