Nomads HxC are set to release their new single, \u201cLiberty &Death,\u201d<\/strong> on June 19<\/strong>, offering a fierce look into the band\u2019s upcoming seven-song EP. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Nomads HxC, the phrase takes the familiar language of freedom and pulls it into explicitly spiritual territory. This is hardcore theology with boots on the ground. The song centers on the internal war for freedom that takes place within every believer, where the old self fights to survive and the new life in Christ rises through surrender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the band states:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThere is a war for freedom within each of us and there is only one way out, death to the old self so the new one may live. Death has never been easy, but it has always been necessary. Death to the flesh!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

That line captures the central nerve of the song: true liberty comes through dying to the old self.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a new Heaven\u2019s Metal Magazine interview with Stephanie Jordan, Danny Thomas of Nomads HxC discussed the meaning behind \u201cLiberty & Death,\u201d connecting the song\u2019s message to the language of Romans 6 and the biblical call to identify with Christ in His death so that new life can emerge. Thomas explained that the old man still fights for control, and that freedom comes as the old self dies and the believer walks in newness of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The song explores freedom as crucifixion, as surrender, and as the fierce, sacred act of letting false versions of oneself die so that truth can live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nomads HxC formed after Danny Thomas and Danny Maldonado of Clear Convictions began writing together following Thomas\u2019 time in No Treaty. What began as a straightforward hardcore project grew into a full EP, with Thomas describing the process as something that came together with a surprising sense of momentum and purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Musically, Nomads HxC lean into a direct hardcore foundation, pulling from the spirit of classic Christian hardcore while carrying the grit, urgency, and chant-ready force of New York hardcore. In the interview, Thomas credits Maldonado with bringing much of that hardcore energy into the project, including the Agnostic Front-style influence that gives the songs their street-level punch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stephanie Jordan noted the EP\u2019s strong JCHC heartbeat, describing it as the kind of music that carries the anthem-driven intensity of earlier Christian hardcore into the present moment. That anthemic quality is intentional. Thomas said he wants Nomads HxC songs to become something the crowd can own, shout, and carry together; the kind of songs where the mic gets passed and the room becomes part of the declaration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That spirit flows straight through \u201cLiberty & Death.\u201d It\u2019s meant to be shouted, meant to be lived. It\u2019s for the believer who knows resurrection isn\u2019t just for show, it follows after death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nomads HxC are also scheduled to perform at Audiofeed as part of the Resuscitation Records showcase, bringing the new material into a live setting where these songs will likely hit with their full communal force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With \u201cLiberty & Death,\u201d Nomads deliver a hardcore battle cry rooted in Scripture, testimony, and spiritual confrontation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
