NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 7, 2026) \u2013<\/strong>Singer\/songwriter\/survivor Benny DiChiara and his chart-topping indie Christian Rock band, Empowered, recently\u00a0took the stage at the Biloxi Shuckers baseball team’s\u00a0Annual Faith & Family Night\u00a0in Biloxi, Mississippi.

The 2026 Faith & Family Night, sponsored by the Biloxi Shuckers\u00a0Minor League baseball team, the Southern League’s Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, was held during the team’s game against the Montgomery Biscuits on Sunday, August 2, 2026. The event featured a night of music and testimony with Empowered, and the Shuckers gave away a themed lunch box to the first 500 kids who arrived at\u00a0Keesler Federal Park (formerly MGM Park) in downtown Biloxi.

He shared how the ripples from his healing, which occurred prior to his band’s breakout project,\u00a0Three Days,\u00a0<\/em>have continued to expand in the years since, as he has shared his story with millions around the world via various media outlets and from the stage during the band’s riveting, high energy concerts.

During their live performance at the Faith & Family Night event, Empowered performed songs from their latest project,\u00a0SALT,<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0including the lead single, “The One.\u201d<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

About\u00a0SALT:<\/em><\/strong>Consisting of five cuts (\u201cGo Forth,\u201d \u201c1995 (Reprise),\u201d \u201cThe One,\u201d \u201cThroat Punch the Devil,\u201d and \u201cPeople of God\u201d), Empowered’s latest project,\u00a0SALT<\/em><\/strong>, Is a perfect album for these turbulent times.

The project is based on\u00a0Matthew 5:13, where Jesus says to His disciples, \u201cYou are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.\u201d\u00a0

While the band was ministering in Kentucky in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene,\u00a0SALT\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>was brought into fruition via a prayer over the band by Pastor Travis Spann of Wilmore Christian Church.\u00a0

“His prayer over the band went from provision to prophesy right in the middle of it, where he described\u00a0God seeing us as SALT,” remembers lead singer and chief songwriter Benny DiChiara.\u00a0“He then broke it down for us in the middle of the prayer.\u00a0After the service, I thanked him for the vision to name our next project\u00a0SALT<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0Not one song on this record is named ‘Salt,’ but every offering of a song is in fact that\u2014salt.”<\/td>		\"\"

Singer\/songwriter\/survivor Benny DiChiara is the founder and frontman of the indie Christian rock band Empowered.
A New Orleans native, DiChiara is also a businessman, motivational speaker, father, and husband. Having come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ later in life, the U.S. Navy vet first fronted a secular rock band before surrendering his music to ministry.

In October 2015, DiChiara fell and suffered a concussion and a closed fracture of the skull base with subarachnoid, subdural, and extradural hemorrhage. This traumatic brain injury nearly took his life and his capacity to create music, but he astonished doctors with a nearly full recovery.<\/td>		\"\"

It was his faith that helped DiChiara navigate the long, often winding road to to get back to where he is today.
The healing process turned into a creative season, during which the band’s breakout EP, Three Days, <\/em>was written. Three Days<\/em> was the band’s first release since DiChiara’s accident and healing journey. It was followed by their powerful EP, Yahweh Nissi, <\/em>which has made the band’s recent accomplishments all the more significant.
And now, with Empowered’s <\/strong>latest EP, SALT<\/em><\/strong>, DiChiara continues to proclaim his journey from lost to found, aimless to empowered, unapologetically bold in his faith and the message of Jesus’s saving grace.
