TRYTAN: Catching up with Lary Dean

It was a great pleasure to catch-up with Trytan front man Lary Dean to discuss the new album, Blood of Kings. In the interview video below, we discuss where he has been hiding for thirty years since the last release. We look into how this project came about all these years later. And how exactly did Eric Gillette and Jim LaVerde (of Barren Cross) get involved? Plus, what does the future of Trytan hold? All of this, and more, is covered in this video interview.

Come to find out, Lary and I love a lot of the bands and musical styles, even down to specific musicians. But, in watching back through the interview, I do find it a bit on the humorous side, as to just how much both he and I oooo-ed and ahhhhhh-ed over the almighty Eric Gillette. It is like listening to two fan-boys at times.
Eric is mostly known as the guitarist extraordinaire from The Neal Morse Band, and his amazing guitar skills are often compared to the caliber of players like Dream Theater shredder John Petrucci. But, for those who know him a bit more, realize he is SO MUCH MORE!
