Once again the two main members of the band 7F (SevenForce) have put together a new release to kick off 2024 in the best possible way. This time they have also acquired some serious help from the timekeeper Thomas Weinesjö (Veni Domine, AudioVision, Saviour Machine, XT, Nubian Rose) to spice up the song with some heavy rhythms.
The band keeps on delivering songs that remind us of the late 80’s heavy metal era. Guitar riffs and solos with harmonies as well as big vocal harmonies and a catchy chorus are all familiar ingredients of the era that have been incorporated into ”Save My Soul”.
- I can’t listen to the mix again, I won’t get the chorus out of my mind for the rest of the day, says drummer Thomas Weinesjö.
The lyrics’ topic is relevant to the times we live in. Occassionally, life seems to have no meaning. Everything is dark and you search for someone to comfort you. The song reminder us that help is just around the corner, you just have to reach out for the Lord to come save you and give you peace in your soul.
History
7F (SevenForce) consists out of to permanent members, Niklas Wilhelmsson aka Nicky Seven and Jens Forsberg aka Jezzy Force. The two have been friends as long as they can remember and have been involved in local bands together such as: Life Line, The Disciples and Witness back in the 80’s.
The 7F project came to life a couple of years ago when Jens and Niklas took a weekend and went out to Möja in the Stockholm archipelago to chill. They brought a bass, guitar and computer with them to try and write some music. From there on, the writing and recording of new music works as a creative valve and something fun to think of in the everyday life.
