Bobfest is history but the torch is still burning and will continue to do so. We are living in a world that is getting darker and darker, but the darkness has not overcome the light and will not do so. With Light The Dark we will do what we can to spread light into this dark world.
In march 2024 Noizegate Productions delivered Bobfest – The Final Reunion. A temporary resurrection of the Bobfest festival that originally took place in Sweden between 1999 and 2005. The reunion festival became a huge success and woke the taste for more. Because of that Light The Dark was born.
Light The Dark can best be described as Bobfest 2.0. The concept is the same. It’s a family gathering for all the christian metalheads that sometimes can feel alone in their own cities. At Light The Dark they can meet like minded people and be filled with God’s power for the everyday life that lies ahead. Light The Dark is also a high quality festival that you can easily bring your non christian friends to.
The festival presents two nights filled with great concerts at a club that aims to be one of the top three live clubs in Sweden.
At the moment the festival has gone public with the first seven bookings. Those are:
- Stop The Bleeding – The Tourniquet Tribute (US) – feat. the original Tourniquet singers Guy Ritter, Gary Lenaire and Luke Easter

- Confessions Of A Traitor (UK)
- Deuteronomium (FI)
- Skald In Veum (SE)
- Våde (NO) – feat Andreas Skorpe Sjøen of Fleshkiller
- Of Ash (SE) – feat Kim Stranne of Anaemia and Rickard Gustafsson of Pantokrator/Crimson Moonlight
There will also be a Saturday filled with programs in a local church. A church service with worship, teaching and communion will be held, as well as some teaching sessions focusing on relevant topics for the time we live in. Pastor Bob Beeman will be the main speaker, just as he was in the classic Bobfest years, but there will be some more speakers as well.
