“Parusìa” is a Greek term meaning “presence”; it refers to the presence of the divine or an important figure, or, according to Platonic philosophy, the idea in the sensible reality. In Christian theology, the word signifies the glorious return to Earth, in a visible form, of Jesus Christ at the end of times; it is closely linked to themes of the Last Judgment, resurrection, the fulfillment of the messianic kingdom, and the re-creation of the cosmos that will see “A new heaven and a new earth” (Rev 21:1).

The song expresses the infinite desire that has inhabited humanity since its appearance on Earth—a need that nothing human can fully satisfy, an immortal yearning for liberation, salvation, unity, and endless love that only an Eternal You can fulfill.
