TENKILLER: Drop Christmas Single

Get into the Holiday Spirit with Tenkiller’s New Single “Hometown Christmas”

Song features Becky Scott from Carter’s Chord

Tenkiller wishes you a very Merry Christmas with their newest single! “Hometown Christmas” is a good old-fashioned journey through the snowy hills and festive lights of the Tennessee country hillsides. Mike Lewis’s powerful voice is coupled here with the serene harmonizing of Becky Scott from sister country trio and former Thirty Tigers recording artists Carter’s Chord. What transpires is a duet that will rouse memories of famous pairings like Dolly and Kenny, Johnny and June, Loretta and Conway, George and Tammy, and the likes.

“Hometown Christmas” and the first two singles from Tenkiller are available to stream right now here.

It is also available for listening and purchase on your favorite streaming outlets.

In the heart of the country, where the roads twist like the tales of old, you’ll find Tenkiller—a band like no other, carving their path through the rich soil of Americana. Formed by ex-punk vets seeking new horizons, Tenkiller merges their storied pasts with a fresh vision, delivering a sound that’s both gritty and soulful.

At the helm is Mike Lewis, a veteran of alternative bands For Love not Lisa and Puller, whose emotive vocals paint vivid landscapes of heartache and redemption. With his pen as sharp as ever, Lewis crafts lyrics that cut to the bone, capturing the raw essence of the human experience.

On guitar, Clint McBay brings his signature style honed from his time with Chainsaw Kittens and For Love not Lisa, infusing Tenkiller’s music with a dose of raw energy and untamed spirit. McBay’s riffs soar and his solos wail, channeling the soul of the open road into every note.

Driving the low end is Billy Power, a bassist with roots in rock bands Spoken in Tongues and Blender Head. Power’s thunderous basslines anchor the band’s sound, providing a steady groove that propels the music forward with unrelenting force.

And behind the kit, Ian Hoey keeps the engine running, his beats pounding like the pulse of a restless heart. With a background as diverse as the landscape itself, Hoey brings a rhythmic dynamism that breathes life into every song, from barnburners to ballads.
