News: Light The Dark Festival adds Wedding Party to lineup
Wedding Party joins the already strong line up at Light The Dark Festival in Sweden
With a little more than two months left until the festival, Light The Dark festival in Sweden
have announced that Wedding Party will be joining the already strong line up at the festival.
Wedding Party is a Gothic Symphonic Doom Metal ensemble currently based in the US and
Sweden. The band first started in the mid 90’s, but after one album they disbanded in 1999.
First in 2022 the band reformed with three of the original members along with the new
comers Simon Björn and Ravn Furfjord.
In September 2023 Wedding Party then released their comeback album “White Horse” which
was released on the independent label the House Of His Own Madness (the H.O.H.O.M.).
Besides the band members Sheri Luckey Björn, Vocals, Simon Björn, Vocals and Guitar, and
Chad Hall, Piano, Wedding Party will perform with the following guest musicians at Light The
Dark:
● Robin Svedman (Admonish, Dödsmarsch) on drums
● Fredrik ”Jörundr” Bergman (Shadows of Paragon) on bass
● Kalle Christiansson (ex. Apploro) on synthesizer
The other 12 bands that will perform at Light The Dark is:
- Stop The Bleeding (TOURNIQUET) – At Light The Dark Stop The Bleeding will perform
a two hour set filled with TOURNIQUET music. The concert is their only show in Europe
at the moment! - Whitecross – Whitecross will do their first show in Sweden since their new album was
released. - HB – This will be a unique reunion-show, 15 years after their last show in Sweden.
- Confessions Of A Traitor – The Facedown Records signed metalcore-monster will do
their first show in Sweden at Light The Dark. - Deuteronomium – This legendary Finnish death metal-band rarely plays live. So this is
a must see show for all you death metal lovers. - Meet Your Maker – This is a new british metalcore band that will be a name to count on
in the future. This will be their first show in Sweden. - All For The King – At Light The Dark these kings of melodic hardrock will perform the
best tracks from their three albums. - Drottnar – Here is another band that rarely plays live. This will be their first show in a
very long time. A must see for all you extreme metal fans. - Skald In Veum – This masked swedish black metal-band almost never plays live. Their
last show was held seven years ago in Switzerland. So if you miss this chance to see
them you don’t get so many other chances. - VÅDE – This Norwegian progressive death metal band features the drummer from
Fleshkiller! - Ended – The Swedish progressive rock/metal band Ended will deliver an inspired show
filled with progressive goodness. - Of Ash – If you remember the End Time Productions signed band Anaemia, this is the
new alt-country band from their singer Kim Stranne. This will be their first show as a full
band.
Beside all the music Pastor Bob Beeman (USA) will also participate as a speeker..
The festival is held in Norrköping, Sweden. A town easy to travel to from all over the
world.
