Resurrection Records is proud to announce the signing of David Hanson and his solo
project, Darkness 2 Light. Known for his work with- In The Verse and D.A.V., David is set to
release his latest single, “Flood Me”, on April 4, 2025. This deeply personal and spiritually
charged track speaks to the journey of surrender, redemption, and finding victory through Jesus
Christ.
Originally written in 2021, “Flood Me” was almost reworked entirely when David felt called
back into music after stepping away in 2022. However, the Holy Spirit convicted him to keep
the lyrics as they were—a testament to God’s power in bringing transformation through trials.
Reflecting on his journey, David shares, “Jesus spoke into my life, saying, ‘Look at where you
were and where you are now—there is victory through all the hurt and pain. Don’t brush that
under the rug. Others need to see victory too!’”
With “Flood Me,” David Hanson hopes listeners will be drawn into complete surrender to Jesus,
recognizing the freedom and healing found in Him. The song serves as a call to repentance and
a reminder that one’s past does not define their present or future.
“No matter the hurt and pain—whether it’s losing a loved one or facing betrayal—there is

Mark 12:31, which stress loving God wholeheartedly and loving others as oneself. “If we truly
lived this out, we’d see more people coming to Christ rather than running away.”
The single features Chris George on vocals for verse four and Bryan Arzaga on lead guitar and
guitar solo, both of whom played a vital role in bringing “Flood Me” to life. David acknowledges
that their contributions made the song what it is today. The collaboration was not just
musical—it was spiritual, each artist pouring their faith and testimony into the track. After
stepping away from music in 2022, David surrendered his musical gifts to Jesus, waiting for
confirmation that he was meant to continue.
