A Girder supported Kickstarter just launched by Les and Joyce for Les Carlsen’s New Album, Free Will. We’re here to make it happen.
I hope you are too. We know a Kickstarter campaign is a bit out of the scope of what we normally do here at Girder Music and Girder Records. If you’ve been around and supported us over the years, you’ll know that we generally launch pre-orders on our website girdermusic.com. However we wanted to support Les by collaborating with him on a new Kickstarter funding campaign. It cost a small fortune to get the right players, studio time and a great mastering engineer paid for and Les and Joyce paid for that out of their pocket. Your support of this kickstarter goes right to them. This is their kickstarter! Although we are standing behind the scenes supporting them, let their be no doubt this project will have everything you love about Les Carlsen and everything you want from a Girder product. It will be top notch and contain every aspect of the Girder treatment, of which the Carlsen’s love. yes, even a LTD collector trading card. But…. I need your help. Les and Joyce are some of the greatest people that I know. They are genuine kind human beings with a passion for music like no other. Their story on Kickstarter is stunning. If you heard Les Carlsen previous album, He’s Coming, you know that it doesn’t matter how old you are, if you still got it, you got it. What a pleasant surprise that album was. But here’s the thing…. this album is better. I have heard some of the songs that are forthcoming and to tell you that it’s a real banger would be a serious neglect of the english language. These song are some of the best music you’ve heard and includes some of the best musicianship out there. Mastered at Serling Sound by Grammy award winner Ted Jensen, it not only rocks. It’s quality. So what do I need your help with? Well, it’s simple. I need you to go and support Les and Joyce Carlsen. Buy a CD, a Vinyl, at Hat, just do something. Pick a reward, big or small and grab some add-ons. Let them know that you are out there and that you’ve always supported them. They are 76 years of age.
