Sometimes the music world moves fast, and sometimes it moves quietly. This week, No Treaty made a low-key but significant announcement: the band has officially parted ways with vocalist Danny Thomas. The decision, according to their public statement, was difficult and made out of respect for everyone involved. At this time, the band is not sharing additional details.
“Earlier this week, we made the difficult decision to part ways with our vocalist. Out of respect for him and his family, we will not be sharing further details.
One year ago, we released our debut EP. God used that record and took it further than any of us ever imagined. We are deeply grateful. Thank you for every ounce of love and support you have shown us. We are already working on new music, and as a unit, we are stronger than we have ever been.
Here is to the next chapter. God bless Kyle, Greg, James, Jon and Seth NO TREATY”
At Heaven’s Metal Magazine, we want to approach this moment the right way. Lineup changes happen, and bands go through seasons that the public never sees. We don’t know the circumstances behind the split, but we do know this is a moment that calls for prayer and grace rather than speculation.
I reached out to Danny Thomas for comment on the situation, and he stated
“I’m just trusting The Lord bro…Nothing surprises Him. He didn’t call me out of the military to do this, and abandon me so I would have to figure this out. He’s got me with pharaoh’s army behind me and the Red Sea in front of me. He’ll make a way.”
A Time for Prayer, Not Assumptions
Fans are naturally curious when a band transitions away from a frontman, especially one as visible as Danny. But until the parties involved choose to speak, the most Christ-like thing we can do is pray for wisdom, peace, and growth for everyone.
