News: Resurrection Fest Launches in South Carolina
A brand new Christian music festival is coming to the Upstate this month. Resurrection Fest will make its South Carolina debut on Friday, August 29, at Resurrection Church in Greer, bringing together four artists that span contemporary Christian rock, post hardcore, alternative metal, and rapcore.
The inaugural event is presented by Resurrection Records and aims to unite believers through music while introducing audiences to both established and emerging independent artists.
Leading the lineup is Tricord, the South Georgia alternative nu metal and rapcore band whose music tackles real life struggles including addiction, depression, and anxiety while pointing listeners to the hope found in Jesus Christ. Their energetic live show and transparent lyrics have helped them build a growing following throughout the Southeast.
Adding a worship driven element to the evening is Brent Tatum of Myrtle Beach. Blending contemporary Christian music with rock, Tatum’s songs are rooted in faith, perseverance, and encouraging believers to pursue God’s purpose for their lives.
Charleston’s Ziggie and the Suffering Gift brings heartfelt rock inspired by personal trials and redemption. Their mission is to meet people where they are, offering songs centered on hope, healing, and unconditional love.
Representing the Upstate is Igniting the Sky, Greenville’s post hardcore band known for combining crushing heaviness with memorable melodies and emotionally honest songwriting. Their high energy performances have made them one of the region’s most exciting heavy bands to watch.
For fans of Christian rock and metal, Resurrection Fest offers an opportunity to experience four distinct styles in one night while supporting a new event that organizers hope will become an annual tradition in South Carolina.
