News: Rock for Life hosting National Pro-Life T-shirt Day
Rock for Life and the Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust are hosting National Pro-life T-shirt Day, an event started by Rock for Life back in 1999, This year’s event will take place on Tuesday, October 12 and is sponsored by Anchor Merchandise.
In 1999 I pitched the idea of a day where anti-abortion people around the world would all wear a pro-life t-shirt on the same day. This idea came about as I was constantly asked by people for ideas on how to be a part of the pro-life movement.,they wanted a way to be actively involved in promoting a culture of life.
If one student at a school wore a pro-life t-shirt he would be noticed by a few of their classmates. If dozens of students were wearing pro-life t-shirts this would become a topic of conversation around the whole campus and give opportunities to share the pro-life message.
Here is how to get involved.
- Order one of the official shirts from us or wear your one you already have.
- Invite your friends and neighbors to join you in being a voice for the voiceless,
- On Tuesday, October 12 wear your pro-life t-shirt wherever you go.
- Take a photo wearing your shirt on the day and post to all your social media accounts. (tag us on social media)
- Dedicate your prayer time this day for the end of the abortion holocaust.
- Use opportunities to talk to your friends or anyone you meet that day about life and why abortion needs to be abolished.
A few ideas of where to go with your shirt.
- Wear your shirt to school and be a witness to your classmates.
- Wear your shirt to afterschool sporting events.
- Wear your shirt to a local mall or shopping center and walk around slowly for people to read.
- Wear your shirt on an airplane, bus, train and walk up and down the isles for people to read.
- Wear your shirt to the grocery store and just walk the isles.
- Wear your shirt to work if allowed.
No matter where you decide to wear your shirt, be bold and kind. Be ready to talk to people and share the pro-life message and the Gospel. This is your chance to be united with pro-lifers around the world and share the pro-life message far and wide.
