Retroactive Records Announces Reissues from WHITECROSS, ADLER-LILJEGREN-STIGSSON, XT, DELIVERANCE and SAINT
That Spanish Whitecross album you’ve been hearing about. It’s finally available!
Whitecross – Legado de Fuego: Clásicos en Español brings ten classic Whitecross songs to life in Spanish through a project personally conceived and produced by legendary Whitecross guitarist Rex Carroll.
The story began when Rex discovered Argentine vocalist Romina Barba through a YouTube video of her singing a Whitecross song. He was immediately struck by the power and character of her voice. When Romina explained that she would love to sing more Whitecross material but didn’t have instrumental tracks available, Rex realized he could do something about it.
Rex began digging through the Whitecross archives and discovered studio recordings, outtakes, previously released recordings, and tracks that could be completed to provide the musical foundation for an entire project. With Romina adding her incredible Spanish-language vocals, Rex’s idea became Legado de Fuego — a unique new chapter in the Whitecross legacy.
And this is much more than simply a collection of Whitecross favorites translated into Spanish. The album includes “La Oración Es Poder (Power of Prayer),” a previously unreleased song originally written for Whitecross, along with a brand-new Rex Carroll guitar solo on “Jack Conejo (Jack Rabbit)” recorded specifically for this release.
The musical foundation is pure Whitecross: Rex Carroll on guitars, longtime Whitecross drummer Michael Feighan, and Benny Ramos on bass. Feighan’s extensive career beyond Whitecross has also included work with Oz Fox of Stryper, Guardian, Curious Fools, B.J. Thomas, and others.
But at the heart of Legado de Fuego is Romina Barba. Her powerful voice was the inspiration that set the entire project in motion, bringing a fresh energy and Spanish-language identity to songs that Whitecross fans have loved for decades.
Remixed by Rex Carroll and mastered by Rob Colwell, Legado de Fuego: Clásicos en Español is packaged in a jewel case with a beautiful 12-page booklet featuring Spanish lyrics, photos, liner notes, and more. For longtime Whitecross collectors and a new generation of Spanish-speaking Christian rock and metal fans, Legado de Fuegocelebrates the past while taking these classic songs somewhere they have never gone before.

Weapons of Our Warfare — A Christian Thrash Metal Landmark
Only a year after Deliverance unleashed their historic self-titled debut, the band returned in 1990 with the album that would forever cement their place among speed and thrash metal’s most respected names: Weapons of Our Warfare.
Metallica had Master of Puppets. Slayer had Reign in Blood. Exodus had Bonded by Blood. For Deliverance, Weapons of Our Warfare became that defining record — an album where speed, precision, aggression, melody and conviction came together in extraordinary fashion.
Jimmy P. Brown II’s powerful and technically demanding rhythm guitar drives the album from beginning to end, while the guitar interplay between Brown and George Ochoa delivers relentless riffs and leads. The songwriting had grown substantially as well, with longer and more ambitious compositions foreshadowing some of the progressive territory Deliverance would explore later without sacrificing the speed-metal attack that made the band such a force.
From the opening combination of “Supplication” and “This Present Darkness” through the explosive title track, “Flesh & Blood,” “Slay the Wicked,” “Greetings of Death,” “If We Faint Not” and more, Weapons of Our Warfare delivered songs that became genuine anthems for an entire generation of metal fans.
The title track also broke remarkable new ground. The video for “Weapons of Our Warfare” became the first Christian metal video to receive airplay on MTV and spent twelve consecutive weeks among the top three on the network’s Headbanger’s Ballcountdown. In 1999, Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich hosted a program in which he named “Weapons of Our Warfare” among his Top 10 metal videos of all time.
More than three decades later, Weapons of Our Warfare continues to be regarded as one of the defining albums in Christian speed and thrash metal. It ranked #3 on Christian Metal Realm’s Top 100 Christian Metal Albums and #16 on Angelic Warlord’s Top 50 Christian Metal & Hard Rock Albums of the Nineties.
For this 2026 Retroactive Records Collector’s Edition, the album has been newly remastered by Rob Colwell and expanded across two CDs with 18 tracks. The original album is joined by eight bonus recordings, including “Rescue,” a studio recording made for Weapons of Our Warfare but ultimately not used on the original album, plus seven recordings from the Weapons of Our Warfare demo sessions.
The collector’s presentation includes a 16-page booklet, and an exclusive new approximately 920-word retrospective by Retroactive Records’ Matthew B. Hunt. Hunt writes from the perspective of a fan who discovered Deliverance through “Attack” on the 1987 California Metal compilation and, nearly four decades later, found himself helping preserve and reissue the music that made such an impact on him as a teenager.
The expanded edition also provides another window into the creation of this classic album. “Rescue” gives fans a completed studio recording from the original album sessions that didn’t make the final record, while the seven demo recordings allow listeners to hear these songs taking shape before becoming the versions generations of Deliverance fans came to know.

Saint – Time’s End: 40 Years of Christian Metal History
There are Christian metal albums that are remembered fondly – and then there are albums that helped define what Christian heavy metal could be. Saint’s Time’s Endbelongs firmly in the latter category.
Originally released in 1986, Time’s End captured Saint delivering uncompromising traditional heavy metal at a pivotal moment in the development of the Christian metal scene. With the commanding vocals of Josh Kramer, the guitar work of John Mahan, the bass and songwriting foundation of Richard Lynch, and the powerful drumming of Brian Willis, Saint created an album whose muscular riffs, soaring vocals and unmistakable metal attack have endured for four decades.
“In the Night,” “Island Prisoner,” “Space Cruiser,” “Time’s End,” “Primed & Ready,” “Destroyers,” “Phantom of the Galaxy”and “Steel Killer” helped establish an album that would become an essential part of Saint’s legacy. The combination of melody, aggression, apocalyptic imagery and classic 1980s heavy metal made Time’s End an album Christian metal fans would continue discovering and celebrating long after its original release.
But the finished album tells only part of the story.
For this special 40th Anniversary Collector’s Edition, founding member Richard Lynch contributes an exclusive 524-word retrospective taking fans behind the scenes of the album’s creation. Lynch recalls the lineup changes surrounding the record, John Mahan’s departure and eventual return, Dee Harrington’s time with the band, drummer problems that left Saint arriving at Falcon Studio without a drummer, and engineer Dave Loar bringing in Brian Willis to perform the drum tracks.
And then there was the clock.
Saint had a budget that gave them just two weeks to record nine songs.
Out of those circumstances came an album that would outlive the uncertainty surrounding its creation and become one of the defining releases in the Saint catalog.
Lynch’s retrospective eventually brings the story forward nearly four decades. As Saint prepared to return to Europe in 2025, another generation of musicians who had grown up as Saint fans were now helping carry this music forward. Songs created during a turbulent period in the band’s history were still being rehearsed, performed and celebrated nearly forty years later.
For this anniversary edition, Saint went even further.
Two classics from Time’s End were newly re-recorded in 2025/2026 specifically for this expanded edition: the album-opening “In the Night” and fan favorite “Island Prisoner.” These aren’t old demos or previously circulated archival tracks. Saint returned to the songs decades later and recorded them again, creating a unique musical bridge between Time’s End in 1986 and Saint forty years later.
Now Retroactive Records celebrates this landmark album with the vinyl presentation collectors have been waiting for: gorgeous Purple Majesty Vinyl, newly remastered audio, two newly re-recorded bonus tracks, Richard Lynch’s exclusive 524-word retrospective, vintage photographs and memorabilia, and – for the first time in the album’s 40-year history – a deluxe gatefold jacket.
It’s a fitting celebration of an album whose title suggested an ending while its legacy proved to be anything but.
40 years. First-ever gatefold. Purple Majesty Vinyl. Two newly recorded classics. Only 300 copies.
