Feature: Trans-Siberian Orchestra interview with Al Pitrelli
I had the privilege of sitting down for a Zoom call video interview with TSO frontman Al Pitrelli. As expected, Al is a great storyteller and handles himself with grace, class, and a good understanding of human character.
In addition to the 2026 TSO tour, he discusses the time he broke his leg and tore his ACL during a good guitar solo. I asked him about the Gibson Les Paul guitar and he turns around and picks it up, cradling it as he answers. He also told the story about the time that he literally thought he had died on stage during a TSO concert – how everything went dark, saw a light, the whole nine yards.
Grab your popcorn and sit down for the next 24 minutes to catch up with Al and TSO.
