Review: Lacey Sturm – Forever & Ever (Single) Featuring Lindsey Stirling

Lacey Sturm’s “Forever & Ever” is not technically a brand-new song. It originally appeared on the 2024 deluxe edition of Kenotic Metanoia, but the release of its official music video on September 2, 2026, gives the track a fresh spotlight.

Lacey Sturm and Lindsey Stirling make a powerful combination here, balancing heaviness, beauty, vulnerability, and plenty of melody. The song is catchy from the start, and Lacey delivers the fantastic vocals we have come to expect from her.

Lyrically, Lacey looks at the walls fear and pain can build around the heart, then chooses to move beyond them rather than remain trapped. “The joy is worth the pain” may be a simple line, but it captures the heart of the song. Another standout moment comes in the “Twinkle little star” section, particularly the line, “I see you for who you really are,” which adds another emotional layer to the track.

Musically, Lindsey Stirling’s violin is a perfect addition. Her playing brings a sweeping, almost folk-inspired quality that works beautifully alongside the heavier guitars without taking anything away from Lacey’s voice. One of the best musical moments is the calm before the storm, with the guitar and violin building the atmosphere before the drums kick in and completely change the energy. It is extremely well done.

The video brings its own artistic dimension. Seeing Lacey carrying a bouquet of white roses on fire through the darkness is an amazing visual and a unique piece of imagery that fits the emotion of the song perfectly.

“Forever & Ever” feels hopeful without pretending life is painless. It is about scars, fear, freedom, love, and choosing to keep moving forward. The new video gives an already strong song another chance to shine, while Lindsey Stirling’s violin makes an already memorable track even more distinctive.
