Crimson Thorn Joins Rottweiler Records, Releases Remastered Unearthed and Full Discography

Rottweiler Records just made a major addition to their roster by welcoming Minnesota’s brutal death metal legends, Crimson Thorn. Known for their punishing riffs and guttural growls, Crimson Thorn has long been a cornerstone of the Christian extreme metal scene, and they’re gearing up for a new chapter.

This Friday, October 25th, Rottweiler is releasing the band’s complete discography—Plagued, Unearthed, Dissection, and Purification—on Bandcamp and streaming platforms. Whether you’re a long-time fan or discovering their music for the first time, this is your chance to experience the full breadth of their brutality.

On top of that, Crimson Thorn revisited their 1997 classic Unearthed for a full remix and remaster, handled by Charles Powell at BattleFrost Productions. With the band overseeing the process, this new version packs even more power, with a harder-hitting mix that cranks up the intensity while staying true to the original’s raw energy.

The revamped Unearthed also features new cover art by Zack Plunkett of Abated Mass of Flesh, giving the album a fresh, updated look to match its sound.

As a fan, I’ve always respected Crimson Thorn for pushing the limits of brutal music, and this remix feels like a perfect step forward while honoring their legacy. Even more exciting, the band is currently working on new material for release in 2025, and I can’t wait to see how they’ve evolved.

So, whether you’re a die-hard follower or diving in fresh, Friday marks the beginning of a heavier, more intense era for Crimson Thorn.
