News: Weapons of God to Unleash Their Heaviest Work Yet: TRIbulation Has Begun

Weapons of God have never been known to play it safe, but with their third full-length release, they’re doubling down on weight, grit, and end-time firepower. TRIbulation, dropping July 18 through Roxx Records in partnership with Resurrection Records, is a thunderous statement of faith and fury. And if the new single is any indication, this may be their most urgent and unrelenting record yet.

The debut single, “Death of Me,” is live now, and it’s a slow-burning, doom-soaked standout that hits with the force of a cement truck. It’s heavy, honest, and refreshingly raw. As a fan of Soundgarden, Chevelle, and Corrosion of Conformity, I can say this one taps into that same deep well of brooding riffs and soulful weight. It grooves with menace, but it also feels lived-in and real. This isn’t empty aggression. It’s conviction.

Weapons of God have always brought a bold, unashamed message to the Christian rock and metal scene. With TRIbulation, they’re not just releasing another album. They’re building a full-scale conceptual strike, one rooted in both biblical prophecy and sonic power.

The band broke down the meaning behind the title:

  1. TRI-logy – Three connected songs, “Ten Crowns,” “Damnation Riders,” and “Salvation Is Here,” chart a progression through the biblical Tribulation. It’s a journey through judgment, wrath, and ultimate redemption.
  2. Third Album – The capitalized “TRI” also marks the band’s third studio album, a symbolic turning point in their discography that reflects both maturity and escalation.
  3. Tribes – “Trib” also alludes to the tribes of the earth, a reminder that all will one day recognize Christ’s return.

Weapons of God aren’t playing games. This is the kind of album that confronts both darkness and apathy head-on. Fans who appreciate depth in their lyrics and weight in their sound will find a lot to connect with here.

Pre-orders for TRIbulation go live this Friday morning at www.roxxrecords.com and release date is scheduled for July 18, 2025. The band will also be debuting tracks live at this year’s Immortal Festival on August 29, a perfect setting to bring the message of TRIbulation to the stage.

If this is just the beginning, then TRIbulation might be one of the strongest Christian hard rock releases of the year.
