News: Guardian Declines 2026 Immortal Fest Invite — Leaves the Door Open for Future
Guardian vocalist Jamie Rowe hopped on social media recently with a quick update that instantly grabbed the attention of Guardian fans. According to Rowe, the band was invited to perform at Ohio’s Immortal Fest in 2026. But as Rowe explained, the timing just isn’t right. Getting the full lineup together for a proper reunion next year apparently isn’t doable, so the band politely passed. He emphasized it was a generous invite, and he didn’t shut the door on the idea entirely. In true Jamie fashion, he left things hopeful: “Maybe another time? You bet!”
For longtime fans, it’s a bittersweet update. On one hand, no Guardian set at Immortal Fest 2026. On the other, the fact that offers are hitting the table, and the band is openly acknowledging them, is the biggest sign in years that we might see some kind of show down the road.
Guardian was one of my soundtrack bands growing up. Still really dig them. If these guys step back onstage together, even for a one-off, fans are going to lose their minds in the best way possible.
Until then, we patiently wait.
