Elements of Rock 2026 Announces Strong International Lineup
Extol, Narnia and Detritus Headline the 21st Edition in Uster, Switzerland

Uster (CH) – One year after its anniversary edition, the 21st Elements of Rock Festival returns from March 13–15, 2026, with a diverse international lineup spanning hard rock, thrash, power and death metal. The festival will once again take place at the Stadthofsaal in Uster, Switzerland.

Among the highlights is the first-ever appearance of Norwegian progressive death metal pioneers Extol, whose Grammy-winning album The Blueprint Dives (1995) established them as one of the genre’s most innovative bands. Over their career, Extol have toured with acts such as Mastodon and Opeth.

Friday’s headliner will be Swedish melodic metal veterans Narnia. Active since 1996, the band has shared stages with Stratovarius, Children of Bodom, Sonata Arctica and Ronnie James Dio. Since their last Elements of Rock appearance in 2015, Narnia have released three studio albums and one live album and have toured extensively across Europe and Latin America.

Adding a thrash metal edge, Detritus from the UK brings high-energy intensity combined with progressive elements. Known for unconventional arrangements featuring piano, saxophone and even a pirate-themed song, the band demonstrates the stylistic openness that defines Elements of Rock.

In total, ten national and international bands will perform across Friday and Saturday evenings, covering a wide spectrum of heavy metal styles. As part of the festival’s unique concept, daytime church services will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
