News: Roxx Records Announces 40th Anniversary Tribute to ‘To Hell With The Devil’
In 2026, one of the most important albums in Christian metal history turns 40. Originally released in 1986, To Hell With The Devil by Stryper didn’t just redefine what faith-based metal could be—it permanently altered the broader metal landscape. Four decades later, its influence is still unmistakable.
To mark the occasion, Roxx Records has announced a full-scale tribute project titled:
“Roxx Records Salutes the Soldiers Under Command on the 40th Anniversary of To Hell With The Devil”
The release is more than a symbolic nod. It’s a complete, track-by-track reinterpretation of the album, presented in the original running order and concluding with a bonus cover of “Soldiers Under Command.” According to Roxx Records, the response from participating artists was immediate and enthusiastic, resulting in a lineup that spans multiple generations and stylistic approaches within Christian metal.
Alongside the music, the project also features newly commissioned artwork—a modern reimagining of the iconic angel imagery from the original album. The cover was created by Juan Carlos Arce of Lux Studio, offering a fresh visual perspective while honoring one of the most recognizable covers in the genre.
Roxx Records plans to roll out the release gradually, unveiling individual tracks leading up to the full album’s street date. A detailed release schedule is expected to be announced soon.
Below are additional details directly from the official press release.
