News: The Awakening announce new album and tour
South African Gothic / Darkwave act The Awakening has just announced the pre-order for their 13th album, The Lost Theatre. The new album follows their highly successful eponymous album (2024), which reached #3 on Germany’s Deutsche Alternative Charts and had videos amassing millions of views.
The Lost Theatre will be released on 13 August 2026 and features all-new original songs, which frontman Ashton Nyte has promised: “take us all somewhere new but comforting”.
The album will be supported by a tour of Germany, which follows last year’s worldwide The Haunting Tour, which saw the band perform in the US, Canada, the UK, the EU, Mexico, and South Africa.
