News: Grave Robber Unleashes New Four-Song EP, Black Roses
Horror-punk veterans Grave Robber have returned from the crypt with Black Roses, a new four-song EP built around monsters, midnight cinema, and the band’s signature collision of punk energy and theatrical horror.
The EP draws its inspiration directly from the darker corners of film and literature, with each track named after a modern horror fixture. Black Roses is available now on CD for $7 through Grave Robber’s official Big Cartel store.
Black Roses Track Listing
- “28 Days Later”
- “Salem’s Lot”
- “The Fog”
- “The Babadook”
The band described the release as “four brand-new tracks dripping with horror, monsters, and midnight mayhem,” inviting listeners to dust off their CD players and step back into the Grave Robber crypt.
Alongside Black Roses, Grave Robber has expanded its online store with several suitably macabre offerings. Fans can pick up Mourning Brew, a medium-roast coffee made from single-source organic Arabica beans with notes of chocolate and almond. The store also carries I Believe in Ghost hot sauce, which combines Bhut Jolokia ghost peppers with fresh lemon and lime.
The centerpiece of the band’s current catalog remains Corpus Operum, a massive three-CD retrospective collecting remastered Grave Robber material spanning the group’s history since 2005.
The 75-track collection gathers fan favorites including “The Exorcist,” “Skeletons,” “Army of the Dead,” “Reanimator,” “Paranormal Activity,” “Straight to Hell,” “The Evil Dead,” “Zombieland,” and “Escaping the Grave.” It also features acoustic recordings, alternate versions, early material, and covers of songs originally recorded by Black Sabbath, Misfits, Metallica, Ramones, David Bowie, Nirvana, Cyndi Lauper, Bette Midler, Jim Croce, and others.
Paul Stier created the artwork for Corpus Operum, while Tim Bushong handled the remastering.
Grave Robber also shared an update from Germany’s Sick Taste Records regarding its upcoming vinyl releases. Copies of You’re All Gonna Die! have arrived in Germany and should reach the band soon. A vinyl pressing of Escaping the Grave also remains in progress.
Black Roses, Corpus Operum, coffee, hot sauce, apparel, and additional Grave Robber merchandise are available through the band’s official store: www.graverobber.bigcartel.com
