Feature: Whitecross activities slowed in 2026 and Rex Carroll sped up
Rex Carroll is one of the busiest men in rock and roll. He’s spent the bulk of this summer finishing up a new solo album that’s been 10 years in the making. Due to a great flood where he lives, there’s been a slight delay but should be out around the time or shortly after this issue of Heaven’s Metal hits.
“Our good friend Matt Hunt (Retroactive Records) had given me an advance about 10 years ago to do this album, which I never completed. I think we just got so busy with doing shows and other things in life that I never got it done. He’s a cool guy and very patient with me and has been all these years. Since there wasn’t a lot going on in the Whitecross world this year, I thought, ‘Well, gee whiz, I’ve owed him this album for so long and now it’s like I finally have a chance to get it done!’”
