BURIAL EXTRACTION: Dives Back into the Studio for a New Release, Single Coming Soon

Texas death metal force Burial Extraction is back in the studio, working on a new release set to drop in 2025. When asked if the release will be an EP or LP, founder, bassist, and vocalist Brian Lyda commented, “I’m not completely sure, just yet. We’re working through the songs steadily.” and that they “should have a single out the first quarter of ‘25, though.” Recording at Corzine Studio, the band has Derek Corzine once again handling production, guitars, and drum duties.

Currently signed with Roxx Records, a label renowned for supporting Christian metal acts, Burial Extraction has gained a reputation for their brutal, old-school death metal style. Their 2023 debut album A Shadow of Things to Come on The Charon Collective showcased their raw power, which was further refined in their EP Expelled, released through Roxx Records in June 2024. This latest EP bridged the gap between their debut and what’s shaping up to be another intense project.
