Review: From Flesh Removed – Spiritual Warfare

From Flesh Removed’s debut full-length Spiritual Warfare is now available on CD and digital, delivering a really catchy brutal death metal assault that refuses to let up. Clocking in at nine tracks, including an original mix bonus of “The Lion,” the album balances slamming brutality with melodic grooves that keep the riffs memorable instead of muddy.

The mix is surprisingly solid for an underground brutal death metal release. The snare cracks with that tough, cutting tone that drives the songs forward, and the drums pound with purpose. It’s raw without collapsing into chaos. The guitar tone calls back to that familiar mid-2000s brutality, evoking early 2006-era Gorelord Norwegian Chainsaw Massacre vibes and early Soul Embraced intensity, complete with that Digitech Heavy Metal / Digitech Death Metal (or in that vicinity) pedal grind layered into the riff attack.

Vocals are on point and convincingly brutal, locking into the rhythmic pulse of tracks like “A.I.,” “Babylon,” and “Crusade.” There’s weight here, but there’s also groove. That balance keeps the record replayable instead of one-dimensional.

The band rolled out several singles to streaming platforms on February 3rd, with the most recent dropping February 17. The full Bandcamp album officially released February 27, 2026. If the complete album hasn’t hit all streaming platforms by the time this review goes to print, the singles are already out there and ready to spin.

For those who want the full experience in high-quality 24-bit/44.1kHz, Bandcamp has both digital and CD options available.

This release jams. Brutal, groove-conscious, and unapologetically heavy. Good stuff. Go listen.
