News: Rottweiler Records Signs Benevolence, New Single ‘Face of a Liar’ to Release

Rottweiler Records has announced the signing of Dallas-Fort Worth metal band Benevolence and the release of their new single, “Face of a Liar.” The track serves as the first preview of the band’s upcoming full-length album, which is expected later this year.

Originally recorded in 2022 by Chris Corley with a group of well-known Dallas-area metal musicians, the album features performances from Chris Johnson (Hard Look), Nakoa Arnold (Hunt The Dinosaur, Funeral Procession, Thy Flesh Abhorred), and Charles Benson (Conquered Flesh, Benson, Exalt the Throne). Now, with a new lineup in place, Benevolence is revisiting that material and preparing to bring it to the stage with renewed force.

The current lineup includes Alex Brannan on bass, Cameron Murrell on guitar, Chris Corley on drums, and Brent Wells on vocals.

Corley said the original recordings captured a special moment, but that the new lineup brings a stronger sense of chemistry and live energy to the songs.

“Face of a Liar” will be available on all major streaming platforms beginning Friday, April 17. More details about the full-length release are expected soon.
