Benefit Compilation for The Rumors Are True
If you haven’t heard of The Rumors are True podcast, what rock have you been sleeping under? The podcast has featured literally hundreds of bands over the past few years, many of directly connected to the Christian metal scene. Past episodes have featured Idle Threat, Norma Jean, Spitfire, The Blamed, Dig Hay Zoose, Every Day Life (EDL), and scores of others.
Jeremy Gould, brainchild behind The Rumors Are True recently got the news that no one wants to hear: his wife Liz was diagnosed with brain cancer. After years of Jeremy helping so many bands and fans alike, Jeremy now needs our help.
Cameron from the Tooth & Nail News page (no official affiliation with Tooth & Nail Records) wracked his brain to find a way to support the couple, and with the help of Sean McCorkle (Morella’s Forest), he’s collected 30 songs from 30 artists for a benefit compilation. The songs range from punk to indie/alternative to metalcore. The compilation is pay-what-you-want, and any money paid for the compilation goes directly to the Goulds to help with medical expenses and related needs.
Heaven’s Metal-related bands on the compilation include Pipe Bomb, Plead the Widow’s Cause, The Undertaking!, The Tarnished and more. Even if you can’t give, they have asked that everyone support them with your prayers.
