PIPE BOMB: Drops New Single

PIPE BOMB

ANNOUNCES NEW SINGLE “HATE CLUB”

Pipe Bomb is back with their new single, “Hate Club,” a song that channels their chaotic metalcore roots. With odd time signatures, grating guitars, and frantic aggression throughout, Pipe Bomb combines elements of late 00s metalcore with mathcore and modern hardcore, capturing the nervous energy of bands like The Chariot and Norma Jean, but with a fresh, accessible slant.

With enough twists and turns to keep you guessing until the end, Pipe Bomb proves that “Hate Club” is some of their best work to date.

Lyrically, “Hate Club” is a seething commentary on the irony of tolerance in America’s political landscape. While many claim to welcome all kinds of people with open arms, that sentiment seems to only apply as a blanket statement for like-minded demographics. When nuanced individuals challenge their views, their illusion of tolerance and love collapses.

“Social media has taught me that, a lot of times, empathy and outrage are a competition,” says vocalist Mitchell Layton. “People want to be seen as the most loving, accepting person in the room, but it’s not for the right reasons. It’s all talk. It’s condescending.”

“When push comes to shove,” continues Layton, “there’s no real love there. It’s just social currency. As soon as you disagree, you’ll get eaten alive.”

“Hate Club” exposes the loathing behind the facade of love, showing that many people confuse a political stance of tolerance with the actionable evidence of real care.

Pipe Bomb’s debut single, “False God,” hit the ground running and gained them exposure on platforms like the Kingdom Core Podcast and NewReleaseToday’s Apple Music playlist, “New Christian Metal.” Their follow-up EP, “Stomp,” solidified their presence as a force in the modern Christian metalcore scene.

Hate Club will be available to stream everywhere on October 29th, 2024.
